Mark did a really good job yet again of engaging our students in an interesting talk about the construction industry and its many possibilities for employment which it provides. His personable manner kept the group interested for well over an hour and the feedback we received from the students was very positive. Thanks again.

Barnes Construction have consistently been a strong and valued supporter of the ESB's Education and Industry STEM Programme, having been part of not only this particular careers event, but of similar events in Colchester in 2016/17. Their session was exactly the kind of thing we were looking for from industry supporters, engaging the students in interactive exercises while informing them of career opportunities in future years. Mark and Daniel delivered a great session that was really well-received by students on the day. I commend Barnes for their foresight (in terms of working at a relatively early stage with their potential future pipeline of talent) and willingness to get involved with activities such as this when there's a hugely important day-job to get done!

Finding myself in the unfortunate situation of having to move house 3 times in 18 months, I was totally surprised and pleased to receive an amazing bouquet of flowers from Barnes Construction for my latest ( and hopefully last) house move.
As I have only been employed by Barnes since May 2014, the company has escaped the previous two house moves, much to their relief I'm sure!
It is a lovely gesture which is greatly appreciated when coping with such a stressful and arduous task.
