Midnight Walk 7th May 2016

It was a great event to be a part of and quite surreal to see so many people out late at night in the streets of Ipswich. Others at Barnes have done the walk before, but this was my first year and I'll be sure to sign up for it again. A fantastic, worthy cause which we are pleased to continue to support.

Suffolk Skills Show 2015

Suffolk Skills Show 2015 provided an excellent opportunity for all those who attended and got involved, with Barnes Construction bringing along an interesting mix of practical and theory-based activities to offer an insight into what the construction industry could offer them. All of the stands at the event attracted a lot of interest and judging by the comments and questions raised by the young people; the event has hopefully encouraged several to pursue a future career in the construction industry!

Finding myself in the unfortunate situation of having to move house 3 times in 18 months, I was totally surprised and pleased to receive an amazing bouquet of flowers from Barnes Construction for my latest ( and hopefully last) house move. As I have only been employed by Barnes since May 2014, the company has escaped the previous two house moves, much to their relief I'm sure! It is a lovely gesture which is greatly appreciated when coping with such a stressful and arduous task.
