Autism & ADHD - Online Promotion and Business Networking Sponsorship

Endorsement

I can completely endorse the work that Ipswich Town and Waterfront are doing in relation to sponsoring local charities and promoting them to the business community. Their support has gone beyond the November Networking event, to them involving us in Social Meida profiles, attending our local conference and connecting us with people to support the Young People we work with re employment and volunteering. They are amazing!

Work Experience for College Students

Endorsement

During our work experience week me and Sophie has learnt a lot from the Ipswich town and Waterfront, they have helped us understand the other sides of the Travel and tourism industry. The Ipswich town and waterfront was very accommodating they have helped us through the whole week starting from 9 - 5 however, we weren't behind desk during the week. I particularly enjoyed when we went out to interact with different business that boosted mine and Sophie's confidence. We have also discovered places that we haven't heard or seen before. They have also let us make a guide for students on where to go in Ipswich on their Ipswich town and waterfront website. On our last day we have also spent our day in an event to celebrate RBweek with Trading for good and together with other business that we learnt on how their company works and they have also informed us of some events that are happening around Suffolk such as some of the walking trails around Suffolk. I would like to say thank you to both Natalie and Kevin for giving me and Sophie this opportunity to work together, and for expanding our knowledge about the industry that we are currently studying.

Emery Magante - 04 June 2018

Endorsement

During work experience we were able to do a range of different things where we weren't just sat behind a desk working 9 till 5, this is something I enjoyed as it allowed me to feel more engaged in the activities. We also learnt a range of different things about what its like to run a business, advertisement and found out more about what there is to do in Ipswich for student of our age. we also were able to go and interact with different businesses around Ipswich when delivering leaflets and understood more about where they were and what they did. One of the things I enjoyed most about this work experience was going to watch two shows and writing reviews this allowed me and Emery to work together while writing the reviews which improved our teamwork. On our last day we went to an event as it was RBweek we did this with tradingforgood this was a good experience for both me and Emery as it gave us a chance to walk around and talk to different people about their business we also were able to go to a stand that were giving out leaflet for event around Suffolk for example we were both given a leaflet about walking trails and events around Suffolk, overall this work experience was very enjoyable and I learnt a lot of new things, I would like to thank both Natalie and Kevin for helping us through the week and allowing us to learn a lot of new things, I would also like to say I am grateful for them for taking both me and Emery as it allowed us to feel more confident as we had a friend to work with it also allowed to improve our skills when working together.

Work experience for undergraduates

Endorsement

Natalie Chaplin has worked closely and sensitively with several undergraduates studying English at UCS during the last academic year. She offers them the opportunity to see theatre, dance and other arts events at local venues and then, within a limited time frame, write reviews for her online magazine. The idea is to replicate as closely as possible the conditions of a 'real life' journalist/reviewer. This project enables students to have a taste of work with just the right amount of expectation and professional pressure. This liaison is very successful in giving students applied experience to add to their CVs. Natalie sets high standards and those taking part appreciate the way she encourages their ambition and nurtures their talent. I very much hope we can continue our partnership with Natalie. Gill Lowe

Natalie Chaplin was the driving force behind my warm and welcoming placement at Ipswich Town & Waterfront. The company has an admirable vision of what Ipswich could be and more importantly, Natalie Chaplin has the determination to make the vision a reality. Ipswich Town & Waterfront is a company that genuinely cares for Ipswich and it's potential, founded by people who live and work in the town themselves. Ipswich Town & Waterfront has done amazing things in the last year and will continue to do so for a long time yet.
