The initial idea and research

Getting started is always hard: In the beginning Fujitsu helped seed fund the development of the ideas and funded the initial research conducted by Kay Allen.

Fujitsu is now backing the development of the Social Value reports by being the first corporate to use TFG to assess the social value of working with SMEs in their supply chain.

The Pilot

Trading for good announces new strategic partnerships

Turning the idea into a pilot was a challenge: Visa came on board to help further fund the development of the pilot and beta site for TFG.

BIS also helped fund the costs of the pilot and have helped connect TFG to Government departments. BIS have a seat on our Board.

The main event

From pilot to launch: Santander agreed to be the main headline sponsor to help turn the pilot into the much more complex platform with greater functionality enabling data and information on smaller businesses to be captured. Santander is a critical partner helping us achieve scale over the next 2 years. Santander have a seat on our Board.

NESTA also provided development funds to build the info-graphics and help develop the ideas that would support smaller business to give more to local charities. Innovation in Giving is a key part of TFG ethos. NESTA also provide invaluable back up and access to expertise helping us develop our business plan. NESTA have a seat on our Board.

DLA Piper have ensured we have excellent legal support without incurring high legal fees. As our pro bono partner they are on our board and are on hand to ensure we are legally robust. DLA Piper have a seat on our Board.

Our main support partner are Excell Group Ltd who have been with the project right from the start . Chris Attwood and Darren Strowger have helped create Trading for Good and deliver the new platform – Both are Directors of TFG.
